Commitment to the UK Stewardship Code

Under Rule 2.2.3R of the Financial Conduct Authority's Conduct of Business Sourcebook, Glen Point Capital LLP ("Glen Point" or the "firm") is required to include on this website a disclosure about the nature of its commitment to the UK Financial Reporting Council's Stewardship Code (the "Code") or, where it does not commit to the Code, its alternative investment strategy. The Code is a voluntary code and sets out a number of principles relating to engagement by investors with UK equity issuers.

Glen Point's principal investment management activity involves investing and trading in debt securities, derivatives, currencies, equities, credit and commodities across both emerging and developed markets. While the firm does trade single equities to an extent, such trading is predominantly in overseas markets and does not in any case represent a significant proportion of the firm's overall investment management business. The Code is therefore relevant at most to a very limited aspect of Glen Point's activities.

While the firm generally supports the objectives that underlie the Code, Glen Point has chosen not to commit to the Code. The funds and account-holders whose assets are managed by the firm invest in a variety of asset classes and in a variety of jurisdictions globally. Glen Point's approach to engagement with issuers and their management in all of the jurisdictions in which the funds and account-holders invest is determined on a case-by-case basis. Consequently, Glen Point does not consider it appropriate to commit to any particular voluntary code of practice relating to any individual jurisdiction.
